Multi-Sports

Sports activities at MACWO

We offer a range of sports and activities to help young people and the community stay active, build confidence and make friends. From padel and boxing to athletics, table tennis and e-games—there’s something for everyone.

Padel tennis court and rackets – MACWO multi-sports

Padel

Padel is a fun, social racket sport that’s easy to pick up and great for all ages. It’s played on a smaller court with solid rackets and a lower bounce, so it’s ideal for building coordination and teamwork.

At MACWO, we use padel to get young people moving, improve fitness and create a positive, inclusive environment where everyone can take part and enjoy the game.

When & where: Saturdays, 11am–12pm at Battersea Sports Centre, SW11 2DA (ages 11–16).

Boxing training – MACWO multi-sports

Boxing

Our boxing sessions focus on discipline, fitness and self-confidence. Participants learn basic technique, footwork and conditioning in a safe, supervised setting.

Boxing at MACWO is not about violence—it’s about channeling energy, building respect and improving physical and mental strength in a structured, supportive way.

When & where: Fridays, 5:30pm–7pm at Hammersmith community centre, W6 0DT (ages 11–16).

Athletics and running – MACWO multi-sports

Athletics

Athletics at MACWO includes running, relay races, and basic track and field activities. It’s a great way to improve stamina, speed and overall health.

We use athletics to encourage a love of movement, set personal goals and take part in team events that build camaraderie and a sense of achievement.

When & where: Saturdays, 10am–11am at Battersea Park Millennium Arena, SW11 4NJ (ages 11–16).

Football team at MACWO multi-sports

Football

Football brings people together, builds teamwork and keeps everyone active. Our football sessions give young people the chance to train, play matches and grow in confidence on and off the pitch.

At MACWO, football is about more than the game—it’s about community, positive role models and creating a supportive environment where everyone can belong.

When & where: Wednesdays, 7pm–8pm at Battersea Sports Centre, SW11 2DA (ages 8–16).

Table tennis – MACWO multi-sports

Table Tennis

Table tennis is one of our most popular activities—easy to set up, quick to learn and perfect for improving reflexes and concentration. It’s suitable for all skill levels and ages.

We use table tennis to bring people together, encourage friendly competition and give young people a positive way to spend their time in a safe, supervised space.

When & where: Fridays, 6pm–7pm at Roehampton family cluster club, SW15 5LR.

E-Games and esports – MACWO multi-sports

E-Games / Esports

E-games and esports are a big part of youth culture. At MACWO, we offer supervised gaming sessions where young people can play together, learn about teamwork and strategy, and use gaming in a positive, social way.

Our e-games activities help bridge the gap between digital and in-person engagement, building communication skills and providing a safe, inclusive space for those who love video games.

When & where: Sundays, 1pm–4pm at Putney Library, SW15 2DR (ages 9–16).
